Botetourt Regional Cattlemen’s Association, in partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension, will host a summer pasture walk concentrating on summer annuals and how they can be incorporated into grazing and hay harvest for cattle farms.
Botetourt Regional Cattlemen’s Association invites anyone interested in attending to learn more about establishment, management, grazing, and harvesting of summer annual grasses to join them on August 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Oxbow Farm in Eagle Rock (7797 Narrow Passage Road).
Speakers from Rockingham Co-op and King Agri-seed will be on hand to discus establishment, management, and harvest of summer annuals and how they can benefit a livestock program.
