Ralph Winston Patterson, 72, of Eagle Rock, died on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at his residence.
Ralph was born on January 22, 1953 in Alleghany County to the late Presley “Pete” Patterson and Ruby Della Anderson Patterson. He worked in the mill room at the Parker Hannafin rubber plant in Iron Gate. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Lee Patterson, Sr., and a sister, Crystal Patterson Vess.
Ralph is survived by two sons, Chaswick Winston Patterson of Sharon, Clifton Forge, and Cameron Boyd Patterson of Hollins; two grandchildren, McKinzie and Ethan; four brothers, Harold Eugene “Gene” Patterson, John Wayne Patterson, Presley Patterson (Ellen), and Gary Patterson; two sisters, Millie Duncan and Carolyn Ambrose (Freddie); a number of nieces and nephews; and companion, Andrea Huffman Sloan.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Chris Fisher officiating. Interment was in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers were Jason Beard, Jim Duncan, David Jeffries, Tommy Hyler, Chaswick Patterson, and Chad Graham.
