The Botetourt Titans PeeWee football team, for 8 years old and under players, opened the Super Bowl tournament with a win over the Salem Spartans in the first round of play last Saturday. The Titans took a 6-0 victory at Bogle Field in Roanoke County.

Jordan Hampton scored the only touchdown of the game on a long run. The Titan defense was able to keep a strong Salem team off the scoreboard as the Titans advance to the second round at Glenvar High School’s Highlander Stadium this Saturday. Botetourt will play at 3 p.m. against Cave Spring in the semifinals.

Playoffs for the Little Division, for 10 and under players, begin this Saturday at Bogle Field behind Cave Spring Middle School. There will be eight teams in the tournament and second round games will be at Glenvar on Tuesday, November 2. Botetourt will play at 1:30 p.m. against Franklin County on Saturday at Bogle.

The Junior Division, for 12 and under players, will have seven teams and will also begin Saturday at Glenvar with second round action at Bogle next Tuesday. The Botetourt team will open against host Glenvar at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
