Leonard E. “Lenny” Pitcavage, 89, of Troutville, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at Carrington Place following a brief illness.
Lenny was born July 20, 1930 in Shenandoah, Pa., and was the son of the late John and Veronica Senuta Pitcavage. He lived in Claymont, Del. most of his life and lived in Troutville since 2010.
Lenny was a military policeman in the United States Air Force and served in Korea and Japan. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and DAV. An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, Lenny enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, his dogs, and anything that had to do with space exploration and NASA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Margaret Schival Pitcavage; brothers, John Pitcavage and Joseph Pitcavage; and his sister, Helen Kanousky. Lenny is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Daniel Haley and Gail and Edward Ponce, all of Troutville; grandchildren, Kyle Haley, Kevin Haley, Alexander (Danielle) Ponce, and Hunter Ponce; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Del..
