The Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an open house this Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the community.
“For over 75 years, dedicated volunteers have been serving the Town of Fincastle and the greater Botetourt area promptly and professionally. We believe that every stakeholder of our community has the right to feel safe and secure regarding their fire protection service. The department encourages all members of the community to learn more about the emergency services that serve them in their times of need,” a fire department spokesman said.
Lunch will be served at no cost to the public, and there will be numerous demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and dedication of the firefighters. The department urges all families to attend, as there will be several child-friendly stations.
“We often see you in your homes on days of uncertainty and crisis, so it is a privilege to invite you into our house this weekend for fellowship and fun,” the spokesman said.
