The Botetourt County Board of Supervisors will hold public hearings June 12, at 6 p.m. in the Lord Botetourt High School Auditorium.
Following a budget overview, the board will then hold public hearings on:
- The FY25 Botetourt County General budget
- Tax rates for the FY25 year
- The proposed Real Property Tax Increase
- The consideration of an ordinance amending and reenacting Sections 23-49 of the county code, relating to exemptions from real estate tax for elderly and disabled persons, and 23-214 of the county code relating to the rate of taxation on prepared food and beverages
The board will not take action this evening following the public hearings, but will make a decision on these matters at its June 25 monthly meeting.
