Botetourt County Public Schools (BCPS) School Board will hold a public hearing at the BCPS Central Administration Offices in Fincastle this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. to hear the views of the community regarding the 2023-23 school board budget. Following the hearing, the school board will vote on the proposed budget as presented.

The Botetourt County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing session at 6 p.m. this Tuesday, March 28, at the County Administration Center in Daleville. Daniel and Jennifer Myers request a SEP for the proposed use of a short-term rental of a cabin or cottage in the R-1 use district. The 0.66-acre lot is located on Eagle Ridge in Roanoke.

County communications were not able to give information at press time about resuming the postponed public hearing from the Feb. meeting regarding Whisper Hill LLC and Invest Properties LLC SEP requests. The developers request increasing the number of multi-family dwelling units allowed per acre and to increase the maximum building height above 45 feet for the development located along the frontage of U.S. 220, College Drive, and Old Estates Lane.
