Freshman U.S. Rep. Ben Cline, R-6th, is scheduled to hold his first town hall in Botetourt County this Friday since being sworn in as a congressman at the beginning of the year.
“I look forward to meeting with the citizens of Botetourt County,” Cline said. “As with my previous town hall meetings across the Sixth Congressional District, this town hall will allow me to engage with Botetourt County residents and take their views to Washington.”
The meeting will be held at VFW Post 1841 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The address is 4902 Roanoke Road, Daleville. Although the event is free, those planning on attending need to register on Eventbright through the Events tab on his website: cline.house.gov.
Cline, who succeeded former Rep. Bob Goodlatte, is the 35th congressman to represent the Sixth District of Virginia. Hailing from Rockbridge County, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. He currently serves on both the House Committee on Education and Labor and the House Judiciary Committee.
The Sixth District includes the following counties and cities: Amherst, Augusta, Bath, Botetourt, Highland, Page, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren, Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Lynchburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Roanoke City, and parts of Bedford and Roanoke counties.
