The James River boys were scheduled to play at home against Radford on Tuesday in the final regular season soccer game, but steady rains all day left that game in jeopardy.
The Knights had two Three Rivers District games last week and lost both by shutout, 9-0 at Glenvar and 7-0 at Radford.
“Two really tough games,” said coach Jared Whiting. “We worked hard and never gave up but both teams were just too strong for us. It’s been a tough season for us being in an incredibly tough division. No matter what the scores ended up these guys never once let up. They kept their good sportsmanship up even if we were down by seven or eight goals. Proud of how hard these guys worked all season.”
If the Knights didn’t play Tuesday they’ll finish the season at 3-12. The Knights did not make the region tournament.
