The James River golfers shot a team score of 336 to finish second in Monday’s Three Rivers District golf match. The Knights hosted the round at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club.

Floyd County won the round with a 324, and Ryne Bond of the Buffaloes was the medalist with a 75. Ryan Steger led the Knights with a 78, followed by Silas Miller at 80, Heath Andrews at 88 and Joey Schroeder at 90. Also playing for River, but not in the top scoring four, were Lacey Kessler with 97 and Everett Bowman at 101.

After Floyd and River the next low team was Radford at 342. Glenvar was fourth with 363 followed by Alleghany at 476 and Carroll County at 497.

The district tour is scheduled to stop in Floyd today with a round at Great Oaks, but inclement weather is predicted so that match may be postponed. Next Tuesday Radford will host a round.
