The James River volleyball team will have two Three Rivers District matches this week, including a match at Glenvar on Thursday. The Knights were scheduled to play at Giles on Tuesday of this week.
River was off last Thursday. The Knights were 6-10 after falling to Floyd County in Springwood last Tuesday, October 1. River won the first set, 25-17, but came up short in the next three, 25-20, 25-21 and 25-16.
The match was all but even on kills, with Floyd holding a slight 39-37 edge. Sage Beddingfield had a dozen to lead the Knights.
River’s next home match is Tuesday, October 15, against Alleghany.
