The James River tennis team has qualified for the Region 2C tournament in the first year of the team. Region play is scheduled to begin on Memorial Day next Monday.
The girls have a busy week to end the regular season. On Monday they fell to Patrick County, 6-3, at Hollins University. They host Glenvar at Hollins today and are home again Thursday to take on Radford.
In Monday’s match with Patrick County, Leanna Steger and Addison Bandy won their singles matches. Steger and Maggie Brewster battled it out in doubles, winning in a tie-breaker, 7-4.
