Floyd County High School will be the site of the Three River District track meet on Thursday as the post-season begins.
James River finished up the regular season last Saturday at the Golden Eagle Invitational at Staunton River High School. Nine schools competed in the meet.
For the River boys, Jayden Alston took second in the shot put and third in the discus. Ryder Ward was second in the long jump and seventh in the triple while Gavin Binns was third in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200. Braden Jones was fourth in the 3,200 and seventh in the 800.
For the girls, Gretchen Huffman and Janiya Falls were sixth and seventh in the shot put. Falls also took seventh in the discus and Rhaya Kitt was seventh in the long jump.
