The James River girls will host Glenvar tonight, Wednesday, in a key Three Rivers District volleyball match. The Knights will try to get back on track after dropping a three-set match at Radford last week, 25-20, 25-18 and 25-21.
“This was one of the worst games we have played all season,” said River coach Linsey Firebaugh. “We had 28 hitting errors total as a team. We could not get anything going on offense, which made it a difficult night.”
With the loss River fell to 9-6 on the season. The Knights were scheduled to host Patrick County last Thursday but that match was postponed when the Homecoming football game was moved from Friday to Thursday due to impending storms.
After tonight’s match with Glenvar the Knights will head to Floyd County on Thursday, October 3, then host Alleghany next Tuesday, October 8.
