James River High School will be the site of the Region 2C wrestling tournament this Saturday.
Action begins at 9 a.m. in Springwood.
The top three wrestlers from each weight class on Saturday will advance to the state Class 2
tournament in Salem on February 21 and 22. River coach Bobby Stewart is hoping to have a strong
delegation of Knights.
“The state tournament is the grand finale and what we have all been working for,” said Stewart. “I
hope and implore fans to come out and support your James River Knights as we seek our second
regional championship against some tough competition.”
