The Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association season of Monday night meets got underway last week with three Botetourt County teams in the water. Read Mountain hosted a meet against Our Lady of Nazareth, Ashley Plantation was home to Spring Run and Limestone Park was at the Roanoke Country Club. Here, Ashley’s Jack Keogh and Piper Herrig swim the backstroke, girls take off from the blocks and timers keep a close eye on the swimmers. Next Monday, June 26, Ashley Plantation is home to Castle Rock, Read Mountain is at the Roanoke Country Club and Limestone is at the Elks’ Club.
