Sandlot football playoffs for Botetourt youth teams open this week as teams try to make the Sandlot Super Bowl games on November 2. Playoffs are held for 8-U, 10-U and 12-U teams.
Botetourt has two teams in the nine-team 8-U division. Both open at Bogle Field behind Cave Spring Middle School this Saturday with Botetourt-Phelps playing at 10:15 a.m. and Botetourt-Barnes at 12:45 p.m.
There are 12 teams in the U-10 division. Botetourt-Reiter will play at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Northside High’s field. And, Botetourt-Bland will also play but seeding was yet to be determined.
The 12-U division has nine teams. Botetourt-Beavers will open Saturday at 12:45 p.m., and that game will be at Glenvar’s Highlander Stadium.
