Ratcliffe earns Doctorate of Clinical Psychology
Lauren Nicole Ratcliffe has graduated from Mercer University in Atlanta, Ga. She received her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology. Lauren is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and finished with a 4.0 GPA.
While at Mercer University, she completed her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology and served as president and vice-president of the Mercer University Neuropsychology Student Interest Group. She also serves as trainee in the Women in Leadership Committee – National Academy of Neuropsychology and Publication Committee – National Academy of Neuropsychology. During her tenure in Atlanta, Ratcliffe had clinical experience at numerous medical and rehabilitation facilities, including Shepherd Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Emory University School of Medicine.
Ratcliffe is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School, received an Associate Degree from Virginia Western Community College, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (magna cum laude) from Roanoke College.
She completed an internship at the Salem Veterans Medical Center and is currently completing and internship at the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital, Michigan. She will begin her residency at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C., in August. She will be working toward her Board Certification in Neuropsychology.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ratcliffe of Troutville.
Brake graduates from Eastern Mennonite University
Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg honored its graduates at a May commencement ceremony. Jordan Brake of Troutville earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts.
Local students named to Bridgewater Dean’s List
The Dean’s List for the 2022 spring semester at Bridgewater College has been announced. Students on the Dean’s List have attained a 3.4 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
Local students on the Dean’s List included:
- Jake McNutt of Roanoke, a member of the Class of 2023 and a business administration major
- Grayson Preece of Buchanan, a member of the Class of 2025 and a digital media arts major
- Hannah Quinn of Blue Ridge, a member of the Class of 2023 and a sociology and history and political science double major
Gibson graduates from Davis & Elkins College
Kayla Gibson of Roanoke graduated from Davis & Elkins College with the Class of 2022. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Child and Family Studies.
