Betty Holland spent the last 12 years as administrative assistant for the superintendent/clerk of the Botetourt County School Board. Last Thursday’s School Board meeting was her last in that position. The board she’s been a part of for over a decade bid farewell to their clerk.
School Board Chair Michael Beahm presented Holland with a certificate of recognition for her 12 years spent as the administrative assistant to the superintendent. Beahm highlighted Holland’s exceptional work ethic and efficiency. He also noted one of the reasons Holland stepped down was due to her desire for a less hectic schedule. “You’ve been a major asset to this county and the board,” Beahm told Holland. “I know there have been moments you probably saved us a serious headache.”
Holland won’t be too far away as she will be the secretary at Cloverdale Elementary School. LuAnn Delosreyes has taken over for Holland as Superintendent Lisa Chen’s administrative assistant.
