School Board recognizes Teachers of the Year

The Botetourt County School Board recognized the county’s 2025 Teachers of the Year at its regular meeting last Thursday in Fincastle. These educators were announced as County Teachers of the Year at a banquet held at Hotel Roanoke on December 19, 2024.

The 2025 Botetourt County Public Schools Teachers of the Year are:

Chris Caldwell (Division Teacher of the Year) – Lord Botetourt High School; Danielle Boone – Breckinridge Elementary School: Jessica Fridley – Buchanan Elementary School; Alisha Gusler – Cloverdale Elementary School: Sarah Quesenberry – Colonial Elementary School; Jill Quillen – Eagle Rock Elementary School: Sarah Rudolph – Greenfield Elementary School: Audrey Osborne – Troutville Elementary School: Courtney May – Central Academy Middle School: Susie Bruce – Read Mountain Middle School: Kurtis Kennedy – Botetourt Technical Education Center: and Sharon Keith – James River High School.

This year’s Teachers of the Year received a personalized Yeti tumbler engraved by students at the Botetourt Technical Education Center (BTEC).
