School Board recognizes VHSL All-State student athletes

Student athletes from James River and Lord Botetourt High Schools were recognized by the Botetourt County School Board last week for their accomplishments in various sports.

The students recognized last Thursday night were:

1^st Team All-State Indoor Track (Shot Put) – Jayden Alston, James River High School

1^st Team All-State Indoor Track (55m) – Gavin Binns, James River High School

1^st Team All-State Indoor Track (55m) – Kaia Binns, James River High School

1^st Team All-State Wrestling – Brayden Forbes, James River High School

1^st Team All-State Volleyball – Breanna Anduiza, James River High School

1^st Team All-State Volleyball (Libero of the Year) – Konner Myers, James River High School

1^st Team All-State Wrestling Class 3 – Angel Rigney, Lord Botetourt High School

1^st Team All-State Swimming Class 3 – Max Mizuba, Lord Botetourt High School

1^st Team All-State Competition Cheer Team Class 3 – Journi Maxey, Lord Botetourt High School
