The Botetourt County School Board has introduced an electronic form for citizens to request to speak at school board meetings. The form was published on the Botetourt County Schools website and is currently accepting responses:

Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Russ said, “This form will help us prepare for meetings by knowing how many people to plan for and consider whether a change in meeting location is needed. The ability to see when someone completed the form will also help us determine the order of speakers.”
People who do not have Internet access are encouraged to call the School Board Office at 473-8263 so the Clerk of the Board can submit a form on their behalf. All form requests should be submitted by 10 a.m. on the day of the School Board meeting.
The next Botetourt County School Board meeting takes place on September 9 at Lord Botetourt High School. Masks will be required for all individuals planning to attend this meeting in person due to the meeting being held on K-12 school property. Citizens may also attend the meeting virtually at www.bcps.live.
