Botetourt County schools have announced the following schedule of open houses to begin the new school year:
- Breckinridge Elementary: 11 a.m. August 6
- Buchanan Elementary: 5 p.m. August 6
- Cloverdale Elementary: 2 p.m. August 6
- Colonial Elementary: 2 p.m. August 6
- Eagle Rock Elementary: 2 p.m. August 5
- Greenfield Elementary: 12 p.m. August 6
- Troutville Elementary: 1 p.m. August 6
- Central Academy Middle: 6:30 p.m. August 19; (sixth grade transition 10 a.m. August 6)
- Read Mountain Middle: 6 p.m. August 27
- James River High: 5:30 p.m. August 6
- Lord Botetourt High: 6:30 p.m. August 20 (freshmen transition 8:30 a.m. August 7)
- Botetourt Technical Education Center: During normal school hours August 6
