Lord Botetourt senior Tanner Selkirk will sign to play basketball and attend college at Southeastern University on Wednesday, Nov.18 at 3:30 p.m. in the LBHS auditorium.
“Tanner Selkirk exemplifies the type of student-athlete we want at Southeastern University,” said Dr. Chris Owen, Executive Vice President for Southeastern University. “His work ethic, both in the classroom and on the court, is exemplary. We look forward to seeing him play a key role in the Fire athletics program.”
Southeastern University is located in Lakeland, Fla. The school is a member of the Sun Conference and the NAIA.
“We are thrilled to have Tanner joining us in the fall,” said Kevin Lubbers, Southeastern University head men’s basketball coach. “On the court, he will be a tremendous addition to our program. Equally important to us is who he is, as a person, and what he brings to the table off the court. His leadership, loyalty, servant heart, and tremendous work ethic are all things we value and are areas we are confident he will contribute to our program. We look forward to four great years ahead.”
