The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office along with area churches and partners will be holding a Senior Services Day on Friday, September 6, at Harvest Ministries Church, 909 Blue Ridge Boulevard in Blue Ridge, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Senior Services Day is focused on raising awareness of the numerous services and resources available to the 50+ community. Seniors will be able to visit with the many public and private services tailored to support the aging population. Representatives from various local organizations will also be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance.
Unlike Senior Social events no presentation will be given at the Senior Services Day event. A free lunch of hot dogs, chips and slaw will be provided. No prior registration is necessary, and all services and lunch are completely free of charge.
Sheriff Ward encourages all seniors to bring a friend or family member to take advantage of the many resources available in the community that will be onsite. The Sheriff’s Office through the Senior Focus Program is committed to empowering seniors to lead independent lives through access to essential services and support.
