Howard Wayne Shanks Sr., 75, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Shanks; sisters, Carolyn Shanks, Joyce Thomasson, and Patsy Deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Lugar Shanks; children and spouses, Ralph Shanks II, Wayne, Jr. and Melanie Shanks, Shannon Shanks, Sharron Shanks, Jessica and Romie “Alan” Thomasson, and Dillon Shanks; 11 grandchildren; numerous in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, at Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren with Pastor Michael Tabor Jr. officiating.
