James River Athletic Hall of Famer John Shotwell had his annual golf trip in November, traveling to the historic Pinehurst Golf Resort in North Carolina with family and friends. Shotwell has been putting this event together for over 25 years and it’s always a great time for socializing as well as playing the sport John coached for many years at the high school. This year’s trip included the following, not in order: John Shotwell, Doc Lapeter, Frank Shotwell, Mike Shotwell, Dale Gore, Tony Baker, Mark Gore, Royal Rodgers, Andy Shotwell, Ned Honts, Ryan Shotwell, Evie Harrison, Ken Mowles, Rodney Mowles, Tommy Jennings, Rene Jennings, Dot Bolling, Debbie Young, Chris Newbill, Roger McDaniel, Linda Doolittle, Janet Cochran, Donna Cox, Mike Cox, Larry Montgomery, Kenny Rhodes, Buckshot Mundy, Bill Cherry, Roger Musgrove, Cindy Musgrove, Jamie Talbott and Jordan Talbott.
