Robert “Bob” Howard Simmons, 87, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Kenneth Simmons and Blanch Ora Hickman Simmons; brothers, Kenneth and Charlie Simmons; and grandson, Ryan Simmons.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Locie Ogrete Via Simmons; son, Keith Simmons; grandson, Keaton and Sherri Simmons; great-grandson, Korben Simmons; sister, Linda Johnsey; sister-in-law, Shirley Simmons; and niece, Susan Patton.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 in the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Chris Fischer officiating. Interment was in Eagle Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
