Marcus Lee Simpson, 94, a lifetime resident of Fincastle, was born December 15, 1928 and passed away Friday, July 23, 2023.
Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, Osborne Marcus and Elsie Paxton Simpson; sister, Petty Simpson Craft; and son, Mark Simpson.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Ernie Stacey, Rhonda and Ronnie Benson; and he was blessed with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Marcus retired from Singer Furniture and loved hunting, fishing, and working in his gardens. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment was in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
