Sophie Hoinski Stelmaschuk, 102, of Thaxton, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019.
Sophie was born on May 10, 1917 in New York to the late Lewis and Mary Hoinski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Stelmaschuk.
Survivors include her daughters, Marion Stelaschuk of Thaxton and Pauline and John Hartmann of Riverhead, N.Y. The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. with her funeral service beginning at 7 p.m., all on Tuesday, September 24, the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev.
