Botetourt County Public Schools has announced an upcoming event, “Stronger Together: Helping BOCO Kids Thrive,” designed to equip parents with essential resources to support their children in today’s rapidly evolving world. Experts from across the community will share practical strategies for promoting safety and well-being, both online and offline, addressing the unique challenges students face today.
It will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1-4 p.m. at Lord Botetourt High School, 1435 Roanoke Road, Daleville. Event highlights include:
- Expert-led discussions on current issues affecting children
- Practical tips for parents to navigate technology and safety
- Opportunities to connect with local resources and support networks
“We believe that by uniting as a community, we can have a significant impact on the lives of our children,” said Tammy Riggs, principal of Colonial Elementary School. “Stronger Together is more than just a slogan – it’s a commitment to our shared responsibility to prepare and support the next generation.”
Parenting in the digital age can be overwhelming, but with the right tools and information, parents can make informed decisions regarding their children’s safety.
Those interested in attending can register for the event by accessing the informational flyer located on the division’s website and social media.
