[SUBMITTED PHOTO]Botetourt Beekeepers Association Vice President Eric Miles recently awarded this year’s scholarship to Merritt Taylor. “Merritt wrote a great essay and we were very pleased to present him with a $500 scholarship,” Miles said. Taylor plans to attend Radford University Carilion in the fall to pursue a degree in Emergency Services and become a firefighter and paramedic.
