A tag and yard sale is being held by Friends of the Buchanan Library to raise money for refurbishing and painting the front of the Carson Memorial Rescue Squad Center at 19673 Main Street in Buchanan.
The Friends received a very generous donation of household goods, Christmas decorations, dishes, Boyd’s Bears, and antique furniture from a local resident for this event. All of the proceeds from the sale will fund having the front of the Carson building cleaned, refurbished, and painted.
The Carson building was originally the Ford dealership office in Buchanan. The building is now home to the Rescue Squad Auxiliary and is dedicated to longtime rescue squad members, Stull Carson and Johnny Carson. The auxiliary has generously provided space within the building for the Friends of the Buchanan Library to hold book sales and other fund-raising events.
The tag and yard sale will be held Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to noon both days. The Carson building is located directly across from the fire department.
