Attic Productions Inc. is bringing its summer musical production of Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” to the stage beginning Thursday, July 25 at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center. The show is directed by Sally Miller.

Professional flim-flam man, Harold Hill, attempts to swindle the townspeople of River City, Iowa, by selling them band instruments and uniforms, but he unexpectedly finds love and acceptance for the first time in his life. The show features many familiar songs like “76 Trombones,” “Shipoopi,” and “Till There Was You.”

Partial funding for the production was provided by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Attic Productions is located at 7490 Roanoke Road (Route 220) in Fincastle.

Reservations are strongly suggested. To do so, call 473-1001. Volunteers will be taking reservations on Mondays and Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Those seeking reservations should leave a message at all other times.

Showtimes include July 25, 26, August 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and July 27, August 3, and 10 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
