The Worx will perform during the Summer Concert Series this Saturday, June 16 at Daleville Town Center (DTC) Pavilion.
The non-profit Daleville Institute produces the event in cooperation with DTC and Bank of Botetourt and Bud Light.
Admission is $5 per person with children under 12 free. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert closes at 9 p.m.
The Worx is an award-winning, Mid-Atlantic regional band entertaining audiences for over 27 years. The professional musicianship, variety and versatility will impress the hardest critics and leave you wanting to see more, the band’s website says.
John Hodges plays bass and provides lead and backup vocals; Steve Prusak is vocalist, plays keyboards, and is the Worx owner and manager; Jerry Wimmer plays guitar and is lead vocalist; Dave Fisher will be on drums and percussion, and Tom Howell plays guitar, mandolin, harmonica and provides lead and back up vocals. Two other important members of the band are engineers Jeff Moore and Joey Mayo.
The Daleville Summer Concert Series is a family-friendly event to benefit the Daleville Institute Inc. a 501(c)3 with a mission of supporting a vital cultural life in the Botetourt community.
