Atlanta R. Kincer, Hunter D. Sluss and William C. Sluss were the recipients of the Nell R. Landers Scholarship on Sunday, June 7 at the Troutville Baptist Church morning service.
Atlanta graduated from Staunton River High School. Hunter and William are graduates of James River High School.
The scholarships are given in memory of Nell R. Landers. She was a longtime member of Troutville Baptist and also taught at Troutville Elementary for many years.
Atlanta is the daughter of Stacey and Renee Kincer of Goodview. She will attend Virginia Western Community College.
Hunter and William are sons of Mary Corl of Buchanan. Hunter will attend the United States Air National Guard Technical School; after graduation, he will attend Liberty University. William will attend Virginia Tech.
Patricia Hammond presented the scholarships to the students.
