Roanoke Valley Friends of NRA will hold its 25th annual fund-raising banquet Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Salem Civic Center.
Banquet tickets include a buffet meal, live and silent auctions, raffles, bucket game items, ladies items, art and non-gun merchandise. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with the buffet meal at 6 p.m.
At least 25 firearms will be available through raffles and other games.
Proceeds from the Friends’ banquets support many youth and college shooting sports programs such as 4-H Shooting Education Clubs, Boy Scouts and Junior ROTC through the NRA Foundation grant program. Botetourt County 4-H Shooting Education Club has benefited from Friends’ grants for more than 10 years.
Various banquet sponsor packages are available from $250 and up. They include multiple meal tickets, raffle tickets, gun drawing entries and in some packages, a firearm.
The 2017 Wall of Guns Game features a 1-in-50 chance to win $500 or a choice of firearms on the wall. Tickets are $20 and a drawing is held each time 50 tickets are sold.
Among the firearms available as part of the raffles and bucket games will be the 2017 Friends of NRA Gun of the Year, a Daniel Defense M4 Carbine V7 in 5.56 mm x 45.

Individual meal tickets are:
- Single – $40 each – includes one meal
- Youth – $30 each – includes one meal for ages 9-17
- Children under 9 free
