On March 2nd after 10 long years, Johnny called Tina to join him in Heaven. Married for 65 years, Tina knew that John was her man when he answered the crucial question, “If cows make milk, what do bees make”? John responded, “Honey”? Tina snapped back, “FRESH,” her wit and dimples won him over. A marriage that produced four children, three grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren was made in Heaven, appropriately, continues there.
In Tina’s 94 years, she found great enjoyment in spending time with family. Daughters, Joanne (husband, Mark Rice), Christine (husband, Joe Fischer), and son, Paul. Grandkids, Eileen (husband, Darrell Lam), Jessica and Kevin (wife, Sarah Gilmurray). Great-Grandkids, Megan, Brandon, Sarah (husband, Aiden Hienze), Parker and Michael, all mourn losing a Friend, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
Tina will be bringing the crab cakes up to the pearly gates – as Johnny rushes to finish the Vienna Fingers… Shhhh, don’t tell your Mother. We especially want to thank the nurses and the personnel who so lovingly cared for our mother during her time at Lewis-Gale. With all their hard work, they also went above and beyond to ask if we needed anything or if they could help us in anyway. We will be eternally grateful.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Angels of Assisi, your local food bank or a local charity of your choice. We thank everyone for all of your kind words and thoughts and please tell your loved ones you love them a little extra today.
