The Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce held the fourth annual Tinsel Trail kickoff in partnership with First Bank last Friday night in Fincastle. Several Christmas trees are currently on display in front of the county courthouse, Chamber offices, and along Wysong Park. Local businesses and organizations gathered last week decorating their respective Tannenbaums for county residents to enjoy throughout the holiday season.

Chamber President David Williams rang in the holiday festivities by thanking the crowd who gathered for the kickoff event and spoke of the history involved in the establishment of Fincastle. He also recognized First Bank for being the event’s primary sponsor for the fourth year in a row.

“Botetourt and Fincastle are just amazing,” Williams noted. “Being a history buff, there is so much going on here… There are so many neat things going on, so enjoy your time, wander about, and get to know a little bit about the town and our area. Merry Christmas!”

The Tinsel Trail’s decorated trees remain on display throughout the month of December.
