The Lord Botetourt boys played host to Hidden Valley in a Region 3D soccer tournament opener in Daleville last week and saw their season come to an end with a 1-0 loss.
The game was scoreless at the half and deep into the second half before the Titans scored in the final 10 minutes of play to pull out the win. The Cavaliers had a few opportunities throughout the match but could not connect. LB finished at 6-11-2 with the loss.
“It was a tough season,” said LB coach Taylor Leonard. “We had a tough non-district schedule and battled through many obstacles throughout the season. This team fought hard every night and we were able to see a lot of positives out of this young team. They prepped all season and battled through injuries, illnesses, overtime matches and even multiple weeks with three games. Their chemistry kept them together and the relationships I watched develop is the reason I love coaching. I look forward to working hard during this off season to get ready for next season.”
