Shannon Abell from the LOA, Local Office on Aging, spoke with the group about navigating the Medicare system, how to avoid telephone scams and their upcoming fundraiser “Let’s Do Lunch” on June 19. The LOA. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.
The BTCWC began as the Botetourt Junior Women’s Club in 1974 and changed the name to BTCWC in 1980. Following the guidelines set forth by the GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs), the BTCWC is involved in a variety of community and service projects.
