This holiday season, the Town of Buchanan prepares to host a number of events throughout December.

Christmas time kicks off November 30 and continues through January 6 at Town Park where guests can enjoy the town’s Festival of Lights. Drive or walk through the park and experience the joy of the holiday surrounded by luminous holiday decorations. Additionally, Buchanan’s Downtown Christmas Market returns that Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Local vendors will make their holiday wares available to marketgoers that day and will return again December 14.

The annual Christmas Parade takes over Main Street on Saturday, December 14 as local schools, businesses, and organizations spread the holiday cheer in an afternoon that shouldn’t be missed. The parade begins at 4 p.m.

Buchanan’s Christmas Eve Luminaries event returns Tuesday night, December 24. Celebrate the arrival of Christmas with a trip to Buchanan to view the spectacular lights downtown. The public is invited to view this candlelight display by foot or vehicle.

For additional information or to volunteer, call 540-254-1212, or by visiting www.Buchanan-va.gov.
