The Town of Buchanan recently published a newsletter for residents that provides updates regarding town positions, activities, business spotlights, and more.
Last month, the town “separated employment” with former Town Manager George Hayfield and announced in the recent newsletter that Reese Peck was appointed as a parttime interim town manager. Peck had previously worked with the town in an interim role in 2023 on the town website update and new software, and the town’s budgeting process.
The announcement went on to explain that the town will also soon hire an interim planner and contract with a marketing firm to manage social media and other marketing initiatives. The town is currently seeking a Public Works maintenance supervisor and full-time town manager.
The Berkely Group, a local government consulting firm, was recently hired by the town to manage and conduct the search process for a town tanager.
