Kenneth Eugene Trail passed away March 23, 2026 at the age of 91 years.
He was born and raised near Buchanan and was a 1951 graduate of Buchanan High School. He retired from Lone Star Cement Plant with 37 years of service. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Sylvia Jean Stanley. She predeceased him in 2028. He was also predeceased by his father, Eugene Leonard Trail, and his mother, Stella Frances Bowman Trail; and two brothers, Donald Trail and Lloyd Trail.
Those left to cherish his memory include David Trail of Nace, Patsy Chadwick of Charlottesville, Judy Reed of Daleville, and Sandra Wyrick of Buchanan; his daughter, Terri Batts (Charles), of Greensboro, N.C.; his sons, Charles Trail (Robin) of Roanoke and Scott Trail (Liz) of Greensboro, N.C.; Grandchildren include Chuckie, Charlie, Leighann, Scottie, Cheyanne, and Gracie, and many great-grandchildren.
The family held a private graveside service.
