Violet Virginia Johnson Tripp, 89, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Lynn Tripp; parents, Oris M. Johnson, Sr. and Pearl Lee Johnson; grandson, W.R. Tripp; brother, David Johnson; and sister, Ann Gill.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Violet enjoyed sewing, word searches, baking, gardening, and watching hummingbirds around the house.
Violet is survived by her children, Jeff and Debbie Tripp, and Robert and Shari Tripp; grandchildren, Ashlei T. Barhan (Justin), and Heather T. Howell (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brayden, Rheagan, Oscar, Gunner, and Kenadee; brothers, Kenny Johnson (Jean), Richard Johnson (Kathy), Gary Johnson, and Robert Johnson; sister, Carolyn Craft; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Looney officiating.
