The seventh annual Troutville Trail Days is Friday-Sunday, June 1-3 at Troutville Town Park.
The family-friendly celebration of the Appalachian Trail (AT) and outdoor fun in the area is organized and presented by Outdoor Trails in Daleville.
It again will feature activities for the public and AT thru-hikers.
Events include a thru-hiker picnic, a 5k, craft and food vendors, non-profit informational booths, kids’ activities and performances and live music. A partial schedule is:
- Thru-hiker dinner and community social on Friday, June 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Troutville Town Hall.
- Following the dinner and social there will be a free astronomical observation with telescopes and binoculars provided by the Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society in the Town Park from 8-10 p.m.
- Pancake Breakfast is Saturday morning June 2 from 7-11 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge (free for thru hikers and $5 donations accepted from others).
- Vendors and artisans will be set up in the park Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- The concert series begins Saturday at 10:45 a.m. and continues through the day in the Town Park. It concludes with a Firecracker Jam from 4-8 p.m.
- Guided hikes on the Appalachian Trail will be offered by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) and the Roanoke ATC
