Work to replace the two existing bridge on Route 11 over Tinker Creek was scheduled to officially begin December 20 in Botetourt County. This project will replace existing bridges on Route 11 near the intersections of Route 838 (Vista Drive) and Route 1039 (Gibson Lane).

During the project, there will be one lane in each direction on Route 11 and there will be some left turn restrictions in place. Message boards on Route 11 will advise motorists of the closure and detour signs will be in place directing traffic around the closure.

Drivers should expect delays and plan their travel accordingly through the area and use caution in the work zone.

This project is expected to be completed in November 2019.
