Fincastle Chapter 797 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy held an Iron Cross Dedication on October 21 at Lithia Baptist Cemetery. The chapter was honoring Pvt. Benjamin D. Kessler, Co. C ,20th VA (Heavy Artillery) Infantry. Chapter President Harriett Francis read the dedication. Helen Camper read a tribute for Pvt. Kessler, her great-great-grandfather.
