The following are upcoming local government meetings for the next two weeks:
Jan. 6
Botetourt County Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. in Room 229 at the Greenfield Education and Training Center, 57 S. Center Drive, Daleville.
Jan. 7
The Botetourt County Board of Education will meet at the Central Administration Office, 143 Poor Farm Road, Fincastle, at 5:30 p.m.
Jan. 11
Town of Buchanan Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at town hall at 19753 Main Street. Meetings are open to the public. Anyone attending a meeting in person will be required to wear a mask due to COVID-19 regulations.

Jan. 14
Botetourt County Committee on Monuments and Memorials will hold a meeting 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually with details to follow. The public is welcome to attend.
The Botetourt County Board of Education will meet for a work session at the Central Administration Office, 143 Poor Farm Road, Fincastle, at 8:30 a.m.
Fincastle Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Old District Court Meeting Room, 5 West Main Street, Room 102, or via conference call.
Jan. 15
Lee-Jackson Day, some government offices closed, including Buchanan’s Town Hall.
Jan. 18
Many federal, state and local government offices closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
Jan. 19
Town of Troutville’s council will meet for its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in Town Hall at 5419 Lee Highway.
