VFW Post 1841 and American Legion Post 240 have completed a joint project and installed two signs on the front of the VFW Hall on Rt. 220 in Daleville. The signs have the respective logos of each veteran organization. Any veteran who is honorably discharged and served at least 30 days in a war zone is eligible to become a member of the VFW. Any veteran who is honorably discharged and served at least one day of active duty as a member of a military branch, National Guard unit or Reserve unit, but did not leave American soil is eligible to become a member of the American Legion. VFW meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. The American Legion meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Both organizations meet at the VFW and welcome new members.
